This is a really nice gold color. This is a Gold color wire that is Silver plated with a copper core. 

Parawire is great for wire wrapping or wire crafts. 18G is fairly thick and may not go through the smaller holes of some drilled beads like pearls.

Parawire is a great wire to work with. It is a sturdy wire (my son works with this brand of wire and he is HARD on it) and holds up well to tools. It is the same wire I use in a lot of my jewelry. I've never had a problem with it.

Please remember, all metals will eventually tarnish (patina). The tarnish resistant coating helps keep it at bay however unless you use 99% Fine Silver or 14-18K Gold you will have a bit of tarnish in time. Keeping your wire or finished jewelry item in a plastic zip lock bag is a great way to protect it.
